    This year the annual Macy's firework display will be held in the East River, not easy to see from Hudson County -- but it is expected that many people will come to the Gold Coast along Boulevard East and the Waterfront walkway to celebrate Independence Day anyway. Port Imperial Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic from Baldwin Avenue in Weehawken to the Bergen County border from 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, July 4. This is necessary to ensure the safety of all residents of the area and ensure the ability of emergency vehicles to move throughout the county, officials said.
