    A man and a woman died Friday night in a wreck about 15 miles east of Cordell, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. About 11:40 p.m., Rhonda R. Hulett, 34, of Weatherford, was driving a pickup south on State Highway 54 and struck a car traveling west on State Highway 152 after failing to stop at a stop sign, troopers said.

    A man thought to have used a shotgun to shoot at two vehicles as he drove along Interstate 40 on Friday has been identified. John Douglas Hayes, 40, of Mountain View, died Friday morning in a crash after leading law officers on a chase after he reportedly shot out the windows of two cars along Interstate 40. Mark Woodward, spokesman for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, said law officers near Weatherford were notified by a motorist about 8 a.m. Friday that a person in a car had shot at them as they were driving along the highway.
