    Coming next to the Feichter Studio at HART as part of the theatre's Winter play festival, the Neil Simon comedy hit, "Prisoner of 2nd Ave," opening March 10. The play will star HART veterans Lyn Donley and Stephen A. Gonya along with Scott Shanken, Suzanne Tinsley, Jan Welch and Leslie Lang. . The production is being directed by Wanda Taylor and additional cast members include; "Prisoner of 2nd Ave." The Prisoner of Second Avenue premiered on Broadway at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on November 11, 1971 and closed on September 29, 1973, after 798 performances and four previews.

Mike Clampitt's town hall meeting last week, Waynesville resident Myrna Campbell asked Clampitt what she said was a straight-forward question, but said she was disappointed to not receive a straight-forward of an answer. Campbell, who is also the chairman of the county Democratic Party, questioned Clampitt on whether he had been in contact with either Rep. Michele Presnell or Sen. Jim Davis regarding the possibility of making the tax collector an appointed position instead of an elected one, a move that would bring Haywood County in line with the other 99 counties in the state.
