    After posting three victories against Brown Deer and Wauwatosa West last week, the Whitnall baseball team stumbled a bit in a doubleheader against Pius XI on June 18. The Falcons routed Brown Deer twice, 18-2 on June 14 and 10-1 on June 13. In the June 14 game, JT Reed was 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and four runs batted in; Jayvin Redieske 3-for-5 with three RBIs; and Dillon Peters 2-for-2. Those three players also combined to score eight runs.

    Senior Jasmine Bickerstaff won the 55-meter hurdles to lead a balanced effort for the Whitnall girls track and field team in the Woodland Conference Indoor Meet on April 8. Her first place helped the Falcons finish fourth in the meet with 60 points, trailing Wauwatosa West with 125 points, Pewaukee with 88 and South Milwaukee with 71 points. Earning seconds for the Falcons were Alex Radant in the pole vault with 8 feet, 6 inches, Taya Fleischman in the shot put with 31-101/4 and the 4x800-meter relay unit of Bridget Finn, Alyssa Tolson, Amanda Arteaga and Cali Kucifer.

    Experiencing success literally up and down the lineup, the Greenfield wrestling team earned a tie with powerhouse Pewaukee for the Woodland Conference championship on Feb. 6. The Hustlin' Hawks tallied 238 points to match the Pirates, who had claimed the dual-meet title at 7-0, including a 38-28 triumph over Greenfield just one week earlier. Greenfield actually built an 80-point lead midway through the tournament, but Pewaukee rallied back to capture a share of the title.
