    While St. Lawrence County dipped into the deep freeze Thursday morning at about 20 below it was nothing like the new record set in Watertown. The National Weather Service in Buffalo reported that temperatures dropped to minus 32 degrees, establishing a new record for Dec. 28. The previous record was minus 23 degrees set in 1993.
