    More protections could be in place to protect military borrowers from predatory companies, according to Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman. In a letter that will be sent today, Mr. Schneiderman and 18 other attorneys general will ask the Department of Defense to revise the Military Lending Act to cut down on exemptions to its 36 percent interest rate cap and further regulate loans they claim are structured to evade the law's protections.
