Main St., was charged by city police with petit larceny Tuesday following the investigation of an incident in which she allegedly stole items at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4 from the General Store, 816 Bradley St. Police said she stole four energy drinks, valued at $9.96. She allegedly concealed them inside a stroller as she left the store.

Bishop, 36, of 332 Arsenal St., Apt. 4, was charged by city police with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal contempt at 5:28 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Moulton St. Mr. Bishop is accused of violating a stay-away order of protection issued out of City Court by entering the residence of the protected party, Sharon L. Bishop.

    The lake effect storm that has been dubbed Bozeman by the Weather Channel has moved up and down the shore of Lake Ontario, taking its heavy snows from north of Watertown to Southern Jefferson and Northern Oswego counties. The National Weather Service has updated its forecast for Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties, extending the lake-effect snow warning until noon Friday for Jefferson, Oswego and Lewis counties, and issuing a lake-effect watch for Southern St. Lawrence County that will last until 1 a.m. Friday.

Stillerman is closing his practice after 12 years to become medical director of the Advanced Wound Care Center at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. The Advanced Wound Care Center is set to open in the spring, but Dr. Stillerman's practice at Lewis County General Hospital will close Dec. 31. Dr. Stillerman is a board-certified general surgeon who became certified in December 2012 for wound care.

    State police charged a Cape Vincent woman with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after she allegedly stabbed her husband Tuesday night in Hounsfield. Police said Jessica L. Casper, 28, stabbed Steven J. Pechey in the upper arm during a domestic altercation while the two were driving on Route 12F in Hounsfield about 9:45 p.m. The stabbing was reported about 11:04 p.m., after Mr. Pechey walked into the Nice N Easy store at 19853 Route 12F seeking assistance.

    Jefferson County legislators Wednesday voted to override the state's 2 percent property tax cap by an 11-3 vote and approved a $260 million spending plan for 2015 that calls for a 4.09 percent increase in the tax levy. Legislators Patrick R. Jareo, R-Ellisburg, Robert D. Ferris, R-Watertown, and Anthony J. Doldo, R-Watertown, voted against overriding the tax cap.
