    It's happening more and more to people across the state -- expensive jewelry stolen right out of their homes, and police say drug addiction is playing a big part in the uptick in these crimes. In 2015, the state Legislature passed a bill to prevent thrift stores from buying and selling stolen jewelry and coins, but police say it's still not stopping it from happening.
