Luis Aveciche, 23, of Connecticut was arrested at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and a bench warrant for failure to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court.

    Lydian Junction will be hosting an Open Rehearsal at the Watermill Center at 39 Water Mill Towd Road in Water Mill on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. A tour of the collection, building and grounds will take place at 3 p.m. The group began in 2011, when New York based director Sarah Cameron Sunde brought together dance artist Dages Juvelier Keates, composer Christopher Berg, actor Oliver Burns, and video artist Karla Carballar to experiment with performance forms and content. Since then, Lydian Junction has developed site-specific performances for New Georges, Cornelia Street Cafe, 3LD Art & Technology Center, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, [the end], Hybrid Theatreworks, Figment Festival, chashama, and the [UN]Fair Art Show.

    The repaving project along the 1,500 square foot section of Montauk Highway in the Amagansett shopping area will now take place during the evening hours after several business owners complained the construction would hurt their business. A few weeks ago, the New York State Department of Transportation announced a possible change that would call for the area to be repaved during off-peak day hours instead of night hours, as originally planned.

    Israel Torres, 31, of Riverhead was arrested at 1:13 a.m. on Flanders Road in Riverside and charged with a DWI, false personation and criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree after he provided a fictitious name and falsified driver's license to the arresting officer. Reynaldo Arocha-Cisneros, 25, of Southampton was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on Majors Path in Southampton and charged with a DWI.
