    The Columbiana County Park District is hoping to expand the Greenway Trail once again as part of a state plan to create a biking/hiking network that will eventually connect Lake Erie with the Ohio River.     Council said Monday if it places an operating levy on the November general election ballot, it will be in the amount of 2.5-mills. The amount, Mayor Herman Frank said, will cost owners of a $60,000 home, the average in the village, just over one dollar a week, or $4.37 per month.

    Mayor Herman Frank said council could make a decision at the next meeting on an operational levy to submit to the election boards by the Aug. 9 filing deadline. Last November, voters defeated a 3-mill, five-year operating levy after council and the mayor sent a letter to residents asking them to support the levy which pays for the day-to-day expenses of running the village.

Owner Shawn Lawless plans to spotlight live bands from Nashville that will be transported to the Feed & Sing by motor home on Friday with a return trip after Saturday's performances.
