    A private campground owner near Guilford Lake wants to tap into the city's 20-inch water main on Gamble Road and privately construct a 12,000-foot 8-inch water line to feed off of the water already in place for Columbiana County. Zimmerly, 52, Park Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $705, sentenced to three days in jail, had his license suspended for 180 days and required 40 hours community service for OVI first offense and lane violations. A tail lights violation was dismissed.

    A Wellsville woman who attacked another woman at a gas station last winter was sentenced by Judge Scott Washam to two years in prison for felonious assault and possession of drugs. Cathy Jo Pappas, 40, Riverside Avenue, Wellsville, previously pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to both charges, which stemmed from separate incidents.
