The voting was as follows: Friendship, 40 yes, 35 no; Union, 120 yes, 66 no; Waldoboro, 441 yes, 279 no; Warren, 52 yes, 61 no; and Washington, 59 yes, 36 no.

The vote in each town that reported in the district was as follows: Union, 120 yes, 66 no; Waldoboro, 441 yes, 279 no; Warren, 52 yes, 61 no; and Washington, 59 yes, 36 no. The goals of the $24,032,456 budget -- an increase of 4.97 percent over last year -- are to maintain current programs, address class size and staffing inequities, resolve some funding issues and move toward closing the regional funding gap, according to Superintendent Steve Nolan.
