    A 42-year-old man who became trapped in a burning, long-vacant home in Madras Sunday night was critically burned before he could be rescued by firefighters, authorities said Wednesday. Bruce Miller, a transient from Warm Springs, was listed in critical condition Wednesday evening at the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said The fire was reported around 8:45 p.m. Sunday at a boarded-up home at 406 NE Sixth Street in Madras.
