    A judge lowered bail Monday for an Edgecomb man who worked as a substitute teacher and was accused of sending sexually explicit photographs to a student. Bail for 52-year-old William Bourget was lowered Monday to $2,500 cash during his initial appearance Monday afternoon via video at West Bath District Court.

    A driver was taken to the hospital after their vehicle struck the Wayside Tea Room House on Route 1 in Nobleboro the morning of Monday, May 9. Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore said the vehicle was traveling north on Route 1 when the driver swerved off the left side of the road, taking out a park-and-ride sign on the left side of the highway and running into the front portion of the house before the vehicle came to a stop prior to re-entering the roadway. Collamore said he was unsure of the severity of the injuries, but believed the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had been transported to the hospital with a head injury.

William Bourget, 52, of Edgecomb was arrested at his home Friday night by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of sexually explicit material.
