    Two Vinton residents are accused of animal cruelty after sheriff's deputies found three decomposed puppies and six other "severely emaciated" dogs in their home. Shawna E. Crochet II, 25, and Christopher D. Hilburn, 31, were both arrested and charged with eight counts of simple animal cruelty, three counts of aggravated animal cruelty; and three counts of failure to cremate or bury the remains of an animal.
