The Braves jumped out to an early 6-0 lead over the Wildcats Friday night after two innings before coasting to the 13-3 final in seven innings.

    A woman is being charged in Carroll County with homicide by vehicle in the first degree after an October wreck claimed the life of her husband. According to GSP reports, 63-year-old Brenda Causey Young of Villa Rica was driving the wrong way on GA Highway 1/U.S. Highway 27 north of the Roopville area when the head-on collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015.

An investigation revealed the video was made in Arkansas and shows "Joshua Rewis, 20, of Villa Rica, GA, striking a deer with a heavy textbook in the back of a vehicle," the AGFC news release stated Thursday.

Quarterback Todd Huey, Jr. scored a TD on a short rush with 3:24 to play in first quarter and then connected with Erozinis "RoRo" Edmondson, Jr. on the 2-point conversion pass which would be all the scoring the Braves would need.
