    Rebecca Lynne Couthen, 35, of Erie, was sentenced to one year in jail, two years of probation, entry into the Drug Treatment Court Program and ordered to pay court costs and state fees for unarmed robbery in November in Portage. Matthew Lance Crawford, 43, of Vicksburg, was ordered to pay attorney fees, court costs, state fees and $13,264 in restitution for embezzlement by a public official over $50 from June 2009 to December 2012 in Vicksburg.

    At almost 20 years old, Vicksburg's radio system is beginning to feel its age and reaching a point where it is getting too old to repair, one of the city's information technology specialists said Friday. IT specialist Bill Ford told the Board of Mayor and Aldermen Friday the city has received a letter from Motorola, which has the maintenance contract to keep the system operating, that it can no longer get parts to maintain or repair the system if something goes down.

    After spending the last three years playing soccer at Vicksburg High School, Henderson was convinced by his friends on the varsity football team to join them and he's become an integral piece for the Bulldogs, who have qualified for the playoffs for the first time 2011. The 6-foot, 177-pound Henderson hauled in three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown and he was a key player in the defensive backfield in the Bulldogs' 56-39 win over Otsego that boosted their record to 7-2, which could be good enough to earn them a home playoff game next week.
