    An 86-year-old Vestavia Hills woman died destitute in a nursing home earlier this year after her only living relative stole nearly $300,000 from her retirement account and proceeds from the sale of her condo. That relative, James Alexander Park, 46, of West Blocton, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of financial exploitation of the elderly and two counts of theft of property first degree during a hearing before Jefferson County Circuit Judge Teresa Pulliam.
