Verona built an eight-run lead in the fifth inning but were barely able to make it hold up as the Purple Knights scored nine runs on a fielder's choice, grand slam by Jacey Walker in the fifth and RBI doubles by Angelique Spencer and Natalie Bittner in the sixth and seventh, respectively.

Carlson and junior forward Gabby Durcker combined for 25 points in a 68-48 loss to Madison East on Feb. 3.
