He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Vallejo Police.

    A Solano County task force aimed at violent gangs netted three separate indictments in federal court, Thursday, against three men accused of being felons in possession of firearms. Michael Quesenberry, 26, of Sacramento, Ignacio Hernandez, 37, of Vallejo, and Rahson Woods, 35, of Vallejo, were charged by a federal grand jury in separate indictments with being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner.

    Once Evan Austrie broke loose, Vallejo High School's boys basketball team pulled away from host Vacaville for a 63-46 win that gave the Red Hawks the Gene “Honk” Williams tournament title on Saturday. Austrie scored all 15 of his points in the second half for Vallejo, which ended the game on a 19-5 run that made the final margin deceptively large.

    The possibility of a paintball and laser tag operation moving into a portion of the soon-to-be-closed golf course at the Solano County Fairgrounds didn't sit well with county supervisors. The Solano County Board of Supervisors agreed late Tuesday that the Joe Mortara Golf Course at the fairgrounds, which sits adjacent to Interstate 80, should close by the end of the year, but were hesitant to move forward with a concept plan for a paintball and laser tag operation for a portion of that site.
