The awards ceremony commenced at 12 p.m., prior to which the 24 award winners presented their accomplishments at the Entrepreneurship Forum Showcase at 10 a.m. Dean of Engineering Andreas Cangellaris also spoke at the awards ceremony, with winners from the following categories: Arts, Media and Literature; Business Entrepreneurship; Health and Nutrition; Social Entrepreneurship; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics .

Union President Shawn Gilmore said no further work actions are currently planned in the near future, but they are looking forward to meeting with a federal negotiator on April 27. Depending on the outcome of the session, the entire coalition's membership could meet again to discuss further work actions.

    The inmate, 59-year-old Paul Clifton of Urbana, had been in custody for less than 36 hours before he was transported to Carle Foundation Hospital. He collapsed around 9:15 a.m. Sunday and was pronounced dead at 10:18 a.m. Clifton was arrested around 1 a.m. at the corner of Sixth Street and Bradley Avenue on Saturday morning for violating terms of his probation by driving on a suspended license.
