    An Urbana man is being held at the Champaign County Jail after being arrested in connection with a home invasion. Demarkus Eugene Cameron, 30, who listed an address in the 1100 block of East Colorado Avenue, was arrested on charges of home invasion, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.

    The Urbana Police Department has announced that officers have made an arrest in connection with a bank robbery that happened on July 3. Urbana police say officers were dispatched to First Federal Savings Bank, located in the 300 block of West Springfield Avenue, at about 9:34 a.m. for a report of a bank robbery. Upon arriving, officers were informed that the robber had already left the scene.

    A military veteran who said he fell into a cycle of drug addiction to battle post traumatic stress disorder was sentenced to prison Thursday for cooking methamphetamine in an Urbana apartment near a school. Judge Harry Clem sentenced Ian Hulette, 31, who last lived in the 1200 block of South Vine Street, to six years in prison with the recommendation that he be sent to the prison at Sheridan where he can get drug treatment.
