    Tropical Storm Colin brought extensive rainfall and tropical storm-force winds to Coastal Georgia on Monday, but all that should be just a soggy memory later today. The National Weather Service placed the Savannah area under a tropical storm watch late Sunday night and then upgraded that to a warning on Monday, as Colin's projected path sprawled out to the east, crossing Florida, Georgia and South Carolina on its way out to the Atlantic Ocean.

In a recent report to Tybee Island's public safety committee, Fire Chief Ashley Fields said only seven volunteer firefighters on Tybee have completed the registered volunteer training required by the state of Georgia.
