    Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced recently the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio are now involved in reviewing information into the recent cancellation of school field trips by Discovery Tours. According to Walsh, Discovery Tours, based in Mayfield Village, coordinated educational tours to several destinations for schools throughout Ohio, including to Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

    Summit County Council took the first steps needed for placing a levy for the Children Services Board on the Nov. 6 General Election ballot during committee meetings May 7. The levy is a renewal of the existing 2.25 mills with a 1-mill increase, for a total of 3.25 mills. CSB Executive Director Julie Barnes and Deputy Director of Fiscal Services Darin Kearns explained the levy is necessary because of lost revenue and increased expenses.

High St. in Downtown Akron.
