    On Saturday at about 1 p.m., officers of the Porterville Police Department responded to the 700 block of North Main Street regarding a male suspect who was making threats while possessing pepper spray. When officers arrived they contacted Ulises Rangel, who was found to be in possession of pepper spray that he allegedly discharged prior to officer's arrival.

    On Friday in Department 6 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, Judge Gary Paden sentenced Anthony Myers, age 36, of Tulare, to 238 years-to-life in prison for child molestation. On August 16, 2018, a jury found Myers guilty of one count of oral copulation of a minor under the age of ten, one count of attempted oral copulation of a minor under the age of ten, ten counts of forcible lewd act upon a child under the age of 14, four counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of 14, eight counts of lewd act upon a child age 15, and one count of possession of child pornography.

    Javier Beltran, 34, of Strathmore, pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, United States Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced. According to court documents, Beltran was a member of a conspiracy to commit a series of armed robberies of gas stations, convenience stores, and liquor stores from May 19, 2016, until July 26, 2017.

    After resurfacing earlier this month as a suspect in a Pixley carjacking and evading law enforcement, one of Tulare County's Ten Most Wanted is finally behind bars after an investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff's Office uncovered his location. Over the past week, TCSO TAGNET detectives conducted an investigation to find George Quinteros, who was wanted for Armed Robbery and was on the Tulare County Top Ten Most Wanted Criminals List.

    On Wednesday, detectives from Tulare County Sheriff's Office T.A.G.N.E.T. , along with C.A.M.P. task force, conducted operations to eradicate marijuana grow sites discovered in the Coffee Canyon area between Springville and Camp Nelson. While they were removing the marijuana sites, detectives also found numerous pesticides, chemicals, a lot of trash and the diversion of natural waterways in the area.

    An undercover operation last weekend at Eagle Mountain Casino by the Tulare County Sheriff's Office resulted in numerous arrests on drug related charges as well as for outstanding warrants. TCSO personnel and T.A.G.N.E.T. Majors, Narcotics Division partnered with Eagle Mountain Casino's Tribal Gaming Commission Compliance Division to undertake the narcotics sting operation at the casino last Friday and Saturday.

    Just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, Tulare County Sheriff's Office deputies received a call of a gunshot victim in the area of Road 144 and Avenue 228 east of Tulare. When they arrived, they found paramedics performing CPR on the victim, Adam Hernandez.
