The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of East Jefferson will hold its annual kickoff on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at the Trussville Civic Center, 5381 Trussville-Clay Rd., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event, which will launch the organization's fundraising for the year, will offer free breakfast to attendees. The Relay for Life for the Trussville area will be held on Saturday, May 16 at the historic Trussville Mall from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Organizers say the January event will feature speakers who have benefited from Relay For Life, and will honor cancer survivors and caregivers.
