    Fifty-seven-year-old Crayne Hurst of Truro was arrested Friday afternoon on Route 6 after he allegedly drove in the breakdown lanes and across all lanes for about six miles without stopping for police, all at about 35 miles per hour, according to the police. Police learned at 12:01 p.m. that a Chevrolet Impala was driving erratically at the Truro town line into Wellfleet, and upon observing a black car that matched that description police attempted to stop the car, according to a press release from the Wellfleet police department.

    A New Jersey woman was flown to a Boston area hospital after a two-car crash along Route 6 Sunday afternoon, according to a statement from Truro police.  Rescuers responded to Route 6 at South Hollow Road near the Truro Vineyards around 3 p.m. The crash involved a Jeep Compass and a Honda Civic.  "It was discovered multiple individuals sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious," the statement read. Sarah Morrisey, 38, of Bloomingdale, New Jersey, who was driving the Honda, was taken away in a medical helicopter which landed near the police station.

On Thursday, 17 great whites congregated off Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge in Chatham, Atlantic White Shark Conservancy president Cynthia Wigren said late Friday afternoon, following an update from biologist John Chisholm of the state's Shark Research Program.

    On June 27, Lundborn, 47, of Hyannis, was convicted of OUI and endangering a child while operating under the influence, stemming from an incident in Hyannis last summer when he was arrested in a McDonald's parking lot with an open bottle of vodka and his son in the car, according to a police report.  But soon after the conviction, the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office was informed that one of the jurors who convicted Lundborn did not disclose during jury selection that she had a grandson working as an intern for the district attorney's office, according to court records. Lundborn's attorney, Peter Aspesi, requested a new trial, but Welch denied the request on Tuesday.

    Former Truro Police Chief John Lundborn, who resigned in 2011 after crashing a police cruiser while driving drunk, has been found guilty by a Barnstable District Court jury of a second offense of operating under the influence and of endangering his 3-year-old son while doing so, according to court records. Lundborn, 47, of Hyannis, was released after Wednesday's verdict, but Judge Christopher D. Welsh required him to stay confined to his home, wearing a GPS bracelet, until sentencing July 14, according to the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office.
