According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, Rakheim Scarlett of Troy tried to buy a Rolex watch and a pair of diamond earrings, worth nearly $29,000, from Mann's Jewelers at the Eastview Mall on Feb. 11. Police said that before Scarlett could leave the store, employees discovered the credit card was fake.
