    According to a post on the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, a vehicle believed to be operated by a known burglary suspect was seen leaving a residence on Racine Road in the Pleasant Garden area. The chase began on N.C. Hwy 311 near the Interstate 74 overpass and concluded on Fairview Church Road in Trinity when the driver intentionally left the roadway and wrecked his vehicle.

    According to a press release from the N.C. Department of Public Safety, N.C. Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle collision that occurred on Fairview Church Road near Trinity at approximately 9:15 a.m. The suspect, driving a 2003 Acura passenger car, was headed east when he traveled off the roadway to the right while rounding a curve. He then reportedly struck a ditch and barbed wire fence before coming to a rest in a field facing southeast.

    Fires at two abandoned residences on Wednesday have been deemed "suspicious in nature," according to Randolph County Fire Marshal Erik Beard. Beard reported that Tabernacle, Westside and Fairgrove fire departments responded to a fire on Fuller Mill Road in Trinity around 5:30 p.m. The home was vacant and no one was injured.
