    The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department and the city of Wheeling has been working with several local, state and national organizations concerning the recent discovery of blue-green algae along the Ohio River near the Pike Island Locks and Dam. With assitance from the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission and the Ohio EPA water samples collected on 8/21/2015 along the Ohio River show algae levels below reporting limits.

    Police say an Ohio County man has admitted to having grown marijuana on his property for about 40 years. Ronald H. Tominack, 66, of Triadelphia was arrested Monday and charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

    A Bellaire man pleaded guilty on Thursday to trying to operate a meth lab. Prosecutors said in July 2014, Brian Rogers was arrested after the Ohio County Sheriff's Department received a call that methamphetamine was being produced in Triadelphia.
