A candlelight vigil was held late Tuesday near the wooden bridge behind WesBanco Arena that carries Wheeling Heritage Trail over the creek, near the site where Gellner's body was found four days earlier.

Friends, relatives and volunteers from as far away as Altoona, Pa., have been searching the water in hopes of finding Gellner, 19, who was swept into raging floodwater on Browns Run Road on Sunday.

According to a report from the state police's Moundsville detachment, Senior Trooper C.W. Heckler went to 1066 Battle Run Road in Triadelphia to serve a license plate revocation.

    Circuit Judge James Mazzone will decide whether Jarvis Lorenzo Smith's alleged recorded confession to having sex with a 15-year-old girl is admissible during Smith's jury trial later this month. That question is based on whether Smith's intellectual disability - his extremely low intelligence quotient - and a psychologist's opinion that Smith could not have understood his Miranda rights before he confessed, should be factors that the jury considers in the case, which is set for trial Feb. 23. Mazzone is also considering whether the psychologist's testimony and some of the alleged victim'as well as the DVD recording of Smith's interview with a detective, judge said Monday during Smith's pre-trial hearing.
