    The North Middlesex Regional High School Giving Tree will host the lawn party at the Townsend Military Band's on Thursday, July 6, concert on the Townsend Common, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Giving Tree is a nonprofit program run by NMRHS students to assist families in Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend by providing a joyful holiday season for their children. The Giving Tree program annually sponsors 300 boys and girls, ranging in age from infancy through age 18. They are provided with toys and clothes for the holidays addressing both their needs and wants.

    The Townsend Recreation Department is excited to announce that the circus is coming to town Wednesday, July 12, with show times at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., in the field behind Cherry Hill Too, 53 Main St. Tickets for the circus are $12 for adults, $6 for youth in advance; and $16 for adults, $8 for youth on the day of the show. By purchasing tickets in advance, proceeds will benefit the Townsend Recreation Department.
