    The 22-year-old victim of a fatal crash between a moped and a school bus Monday evening was UT junior Nancy-Jane David, according to the Austin-American Statesman. Her sorority, Chi Omega, will hold a public candlelight vigil at the Tower at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

    Lions Municipal Golf Course, one of the first desegregated golf courses in the South, would be transferred from University ownership to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department if a bill considered by the legislature passes. Senate Bill 822, authored by State Sen. Craig Estes, R-Wichita Falls, would require Texas Parks and Wildlife to continue operating the land as a golf course, otherwise, ownership of the course would revert back to UT.

One Resistance, a coalition of advocacy organizations representing minority voices, coordinated the city-wide march from Auditorium Shores, through downtown and back where a rally commenced.

    The words "Fuck Trump" reverberated through the air Friday morning as a group of masked individuals chanted at the Tower steps in opposition to the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The protest was led by a coalition of students and faculty called the anti-Trump J20 organizing committee, a group that has emerged in the wake of Trump's presidential nomination, according to the J20 UT Walkout Facebook page.
