    The US financing division of auto major Honda has agreed to repay $24 million to minority borrowers to resolve allegations of having charged them with higher interest rates on vehicle loans and also pay $1 million to fund a consumer financial education program focused on auto finance , federal officials said Tuesday. The settlement with the Torrance, California based American Honda Finance Corporation is noteworthy because of the regulators - the Justice Department and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - have got commitment that the company will significantly limit the discretion of car dealers to charge interest rate markups on Honda loans.
