    A teenager who was reported as a runaway from her Topock home on Jan. 18 has been found safe in New Orleans, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's office. Skye Roxanne Damrau, 13, was found Friday when a concerned citizen called the sheriff's office after seeing Damrau's image and missing runaway status in the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children website.

    Roughly 70 county employees and 55 volunteers worked more than 1,500 hours to fight the 6,800-acre Willow Fire in August, and Mohave County spent $131,694 to contain the wildfire, according to a report from the Office of Management and Budget. Firefighters responded to the Willow Fire that started around 10 a.m. on Aug. 8, but it was difficult to gain access to the fire due to heavy brush and rough terrain, Mohave Valley Fire Marshal Don Gibson said.
