Bank employees and witnesses reported that the suspect was a white male in his late 20s to mid 30s, wearing a camouflage hunting face cover/hood, gray zip hoodie and blue jeans.

    A vehicle chase in Thomasville, that reached speeds of 100 mph, resulted in the arrest of a woman and a wanted man Tuesday afternoon. According to a press release from the Thomasville Police Department, an officer observed the driver of a 2017 Ford Fusion make an unsafe movement, almost causing a collision with another vehicle, on Randolph Street at Interstate 85. The Ford Fusion pulled into a convenience store parking lot, and as the officer activated his lights and sirens, the vehicle fled, traveling south on Cedar Lodge Road.

    The Randolph County Board of Commissioners has approved a request by the Town of Franklinville for the Randolph County Public Library to take over operation of the John W. Clark Public Library on July 1. Under the agreement, which was approved March 19, the town will provide and maintain the facility, continue its existing expenditure and cover added costs associated with the county operation of the library, according to Ross Holt, director of the Randolph County Public Library system. He said the Franklinville Board of Commissioners approved the agreement at their Feb. 13 meeting and Mayor Perry Connor has signed the contract.
