    Texas Middle School was on lockdown about 2 p.m. Thursday while Texarkana, Texas, police officers pursued two shoplifters running from Walmart Neighborhood Market at Summerhill Road and College Drive. A student at the middle school saw the shoplifters and called 911, stating they saw a gun and that there was an active shooter situation at the school; another student texted a family member that an active shooter was on campus, said Shawn Vaughn, Texarkana, Texas, Police Department spokesman.
