    The Haralson County Sheriff's Office said Thursday it is offering a $1,000 reward for information that locate a Haralson County woman now missing for three weeks. Chief Deputy Joel McSwain said that the reward, provided by the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force and the office, is an indication of how important it is to find Jessica Victoria Earl, who also goes by Jessica Jones King.

    A Tallapoosa radio station this month won a victory in what it is calling a "David-and-Goliath" battle for interference-free reception for local residents, when the Federal Communications Commission ordered Atlanta-based station 99x to stop broadcasting immediately. Gradick Communications, which licenses WWGA 98.9 Great Classics, as well as WKNG, WLBB, Kiss 102.7, B 92 and Rejoice 89.1, filed complaints of interference against 99x, an alternative rock station licensed by Cumulus Media Inc. as W255CJ, beginning in September 2011, according to FCC online records.
