    Susanville >> A Caltrans employee who works out of Chico was injured in a crash Wednesday morning in Lassen County, officials said. The crash occurred about 9 a.m. on Highway 36, about 10 miles west of Susanville, and involved a Caltrans pickup and a tanker truck, officials said.

    Traffic was slowed Wednesday morning on Highway 36 near Susanville, after officials reported a Caltrans vehicle was involved in a crash with a fuel truck. The incident began about 9 a.m., when the Caltrans pickup and a fuel rig crashed on Highway 36, west of Fredonyer Summit, in Lassen County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As of 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Caltrans reports these restrictions or closures: Highway 32: Chains are required on all vehicles except four-wheel-drive ones with snow tires on all four wheels from four miles east of Forest Ranch to the junction of Highway 36. Highway 36: Chains or snow tires are required from six miles east of Westwood to nine miles west of Susanville.
