The 28th Rattlesnake Rendezvous is a three-day camping weekend in the Sunol Wilderness that recreates life during prehistoric times, minus the dinosaurs. Part of the East Bay Regional Parks curriculum, the goal of the Rattlesnake Rendezvous is to teach participants primitive living skills while immersing them in a communal environment.

    Celebrate the arrival of spring with wonderful hand-produced fine arts and crafts, and a ride aboard a vintage train pulled by a historic 1921 steam locomotive through the beautiful hills of Sunol. The Golden Gate Railroad Museum and the Niles Canyon Railway are teaming up with the Niles Canyon Artisans for the Spring Steam Weekend on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. The Golden Gate Railroad Museums restored steam locomotive Southern Pacific 2472 will be accompanied by vintage equipment of the Niles Canyon Railway, re creating a historic train that will take passengers on a 90 minute round trip train ride to the Niles station and back.
