    An autopsy conducted Tuesday determined that Jacob Settler of Graysville died of the gunshot wound, but the investigation remains open, according to Indiana Conservation Officer Max Winchell. A 911 call was made to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Dispatch at noon Monday reporting the gunshot incident in a wooded area behind Setter's residence in the 4100 block of West Indiana 154, Graysville.

    Dr. C. Neal Heape - a former Sullivan mayor, retired dentist and Vietnam War veteran - died Thursday morning from natural causes after being rescued from the wreckage of a traffic mishap the previous day. At about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department received a call about an unconscious person, later identified as Heape, inside a pickup truck along County Road 450 East near Indiana 54. According to the sheriff's report, further investigation revealed that Heape had been northbound on County Road 450 East when he suffered a serious medical condition.
