    The Kane County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help locate a missing Alzheimer's patient, according to a press release issued late May 18. The patient, Margaret “Peggy” Banks, was last seen about 6:30 p.m. that night when she left her home in the Sugar Grove area, the release stated. It indicated she was driving a green 2007 Toyota Avalon with an Illinois registration of 1356224.

The author, Helen Macie Osterman, 86, of Homer Glen met with the Sugar Grove Mystery Readers book club and other attendees to answer questions about her prequel novel, “Emma Winberry and the Evil Eye.” “It was great because they were able to read a book that they could relate to and then have the author right there to ask her questions and find out more about her life to really connect with the author,” Mickey said.
