    SUGAR GROVE – A Geneva man who was convicted in a drunken driving crash that killed two people in July 2014 was found dead in the library of Waubonsee Community College on June 16, officials said. Michael Szot, 23, was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, a news release from Kane County Coroner Rob Russell stated.

    SUGAR GROVE – Waubonsee Community College will soon offer a pilot program that will introduce hospitals, emergency agencies, paramedics and students to the field of community paramedicine, according to a news release. The new field is part of the mobile integrated health care initiative, which is a new local, state and national initiative designed to provide better health care to patients while they are in the community, the release stated.

    SUGAR GROVE – The second public information meeting for the Sugar Grove Parkway at the Reagan Memorial Tollway Interchange Improvement Study was held in May at Waubonsee Community College. About 100 people that attended were able to hear about the work completed to date, view route alternatives, and provide input and suggestions on interchange variations based on the purpose and needs of the project, said Peter Johnston, head engineer on the project from GREAF–Chicago, an engineering, planning and design firm.
