Chico's Cantina, at 107 Valley Drive, Elburn, and Village Liquor, at 84 Main St., Sugar Grove, failed the March 19 checks, which were conducted by the ILCC in conjunction with the Secretary of State Police.

The woman described the callers as two men with accents who repeatedly called her home telephone line, demanding she produce $400 to claim a prize and shipment coming to her residence, police reported.
