    A rural Stockton man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly receiving sexual images and electronically soliciting sexual conduct from a 13-year-old girl through social media. According to Winona County investigator Kraig Glover, the Winona Police Department, Winona County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Southeast Minnesota Violent Crimes Enforcement Team assisted in executing the search warrant.

    A St. Charles couple were injured Tuesday when their pickup truck slid on wet pavement and went through a guardrail near Stockton. Leslie James Rasmussen, 73, of St. Charles, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 14 at about 10:10 a.m. when the 2004 Chevy Colorado he was driving went around a curve on Stockton Hill and hydroplaned.

    Staying true to the priorities it set for itself recently, the Stockton City Council unanimously approved several initiatives that focus on homelessness and lack of affordable housing in the city. The council's action during a special meeting Tuesday included the extension of a fee exception to spark construction in downtown, affordable housing loan allocations for several projects and a discussion about the terms of the county's proposed homeless czar position, who will be responsible for coordinating homeless services throughout the county and will work with the cities and service providers.
