    MANSFIELD - Mansfield Township Police charged a man and woman with shoplifting more than $290 in merchandise from Wal-Mart and Kohl's and heroin possession. Police responded to the Kohl's department store on Route 57 to reports of a shoplifter in custody on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 3:58 p.m. Loss Prevention staff at the store advised police that David T. Tuller, 48, of Stewartsville allegedly removed shopping bags from a checkout lane and filled them with merchandise totaling $196.99 before attempting to leave the store, police said.

    CLINTON TWP. - A Stewartsville man was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated after he collided with another car and fled the scene on Saturday, Oct. 25. Police report at 11:50 p.m., Patrolman Sean Ross received a radio report of a possible intoxicated driver in a black Nissan Altima on Route 22. While still on the phone with Hunterdon County Communications, the caller said the driver side-swiped the car and sped away from the scene.

    A Phillipsburg woman was in critical condition after a one-car accident on a highway ramp leading to Route 78. Her car went off the road, overturned and ended up on its roof in the grass. The victim, Curtina McQueen, 42, was alone in her car, a 2005 Dodge Durango, when the accident took place Wednesday around 4 p.m. She was on the ramp from Route 22 east to Route 78 east, near mile marker 4, when she lost control while going around a curve and her vehicle went off the right side of the road and rolled over, State Police said.
