    Police are calling a dog's death on Friday in southern York County "a horrible accident" after its elderly caretaker forgot it was tethered to his vehicle, then drove off, dragging the dog. Southern Regional Police found out about the incident several hours after it occurred through a Facebook post and a message that had been left at their department in New Freedom while they were on patrol, Chief Jim Boddington said.
