    PITTSFIELD >> It took a Berkshire County Jury of Six about 2 1/2 hours to find a New York woman not guilty of negligent homicide in the death of a motorcyclist in July, 2014. Shannon Curtiss, 32, of Stephentown, N.Y., was charged with one count of motor vehicle homicide by negligence in connection with the crash which claimed the life of 49-year-old John Kenney.

    PITTSFIELD >> A New York woman failed to yield the right of way in July 2014 when she turned into the path of a motorcyclist, who was killed when he rammed into her car, a prosecutor said on Tuesday. But the woman never saw the motorcycle coming, her attorney said during opening statements in her trial in Berkshire Superior Court.

St. John, 59, of Daniels Avenue, Pittsfield on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to stop or yield and failure to wear a seat belt, and Eric Scott Lefavour, 31, whose address is listed as homeless in Pittsfield on a warrant issued from the Pittsfield Police Department and a charge of failure to wear a seat belt. 11:33 a.m.: Police arrest Kayla A. Telladira, 23, whose address is listed as homeless in another jurisdiction on a charge of possession of a Class A drug.

The Stephentown Food Pantry offers short-term assistance to residents of Stephentown and Hancock, Mass., and serves 5-15 families every week. Appointments are not needed, but new clients should bring identification showing their street address, such as a current utility bill.

    With additional commitments from natural gas and electricity distributors lagging, the Kinder Morgan board of directors has approved going forward with a downsized Tennessee Gas Pipeline project, extending from Wright in upstate New York to Dracut, north of Lowell. The parent company of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline subsidiary plans to invest $3.3 billion in the new pipeline if the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approves the formal application due to be filed in October.
