    On April 13 at about 1 p.m., members of the department's Special Operations Division, joined by members of the U.S. Marshals Services, executed a search warrant and raided a room at the Quality Inn, 640 West Broad St., where they found more than a pound and a half of cocaine. The cocaine was in the process of being cooked into crack and bagged for individual sale, according to police.

    Staunton police are asking for help identifying a suspect involved in a hit and run that happened during the weekend. At about 11:38 p.m. on Saturday, a dark blue or black, full-size truck possibly with a brush guard, struck the fence and mailbox at 2209 Noon St., causing significant damage to the property, according to police.
