    The American Lung Association's 2018 "State of the Air" report found that some Georgia cities earned poorer grades for the nation's most widespread air pollutants while others, including Savannah and Hinesville, made the cleanest cities list for ozone pollution. Compared to the 2017 report, many Georgia cities experienced more unhealthy days of high ozone in this year's report.

Zachary Smith, 20, of Liberty County is one of two people arrested for alleged vandalism at a popular Christmas display on a farm near Statesboro.

Johnson VA Medical Center outpatient clinics at the downtown campus and VA's clinics in Hinesville, Goose Creek, Beaufort, Savannah and Myrtle Beach, and the Trident Annex will be closed for patient appointments on Thursday, Jan. 4 due to inclement winter weather. The Charleston VAMC's inpatient services and Emergency Department will be open throughout the storm.
