    Snohomish County sheriff's deputies arrested a 40-year-old assault suspect from Everett after a short pursuit March 23. At about 9:30 a.m., a man in his 40s from Stanwood arrived at the sheriff's North Precinct reporting that another man had shot at him. Deputies determined the incident occurred near 128th Street NE and 34th Avenue NE in Marysville.

They will host Everett Jan. 26 at 7:15 p.m. MARYSVILLE - Despite the Marysville-Pilchuck girls basketball team breaking away with big leads in the first two quarters, with a pressuring defense and 3-pointers made by Dominque Jenkins, the Tommies couldn't sustain it, losing to Oak Harbor 44-38 Jan. 20. Jenkins led M-P with 15 points and teammate Skyleen Inthathirath added 14. M-P plays Arlington Jan. 27 at 7:15 p.m. OAK HARBOR - Josh Bevan of Marysville-Pilchuck scored 34 points to put the Tomahawks over Oak Harbor 74-60 Jan. 19. M-P improved its record 4-9.

    After a year off last year, the Arlington Nativity Festival is returning for its fourth year at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Smokey Point, from Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 10-13. Cyndy Thompson, one of the coordinators of the event, noted that it's consistently drawn about 500 nativity sets each year, so she expected this year would be about the same.
