    At the St. Simons Island town hall meeting on Wednesday, in a display of contradictory logic, Commissioner Bill Brunson told the roughly 150 dissenting islanders why he favors stripping the Island Planning Commission of its site-plan powers. He said that he didn't want the courts to get involved with planning and zoning matters, as has happened in the past when the IPC denied applications.
